Services

  • Looking for something specific? I’ll source a quality, secondhand piece and transform it to match your vision. I focus on well-made furniture from local estate sales, trusted resale platforms, and NYC shops—only choosing pieces that are solid, restorable, and worth the revival.

  • Looking for something beautiful and ready to go? Second Nature offers a rotating collection of fully restored, one-of-a-kind pieces, sustainably sourced and finished with care.

Each item is prepped and revived using my signature palette—deep forest green, soft sage, and/or a warm Early American stain—paired with modern, earthy hardware that completes the look.

No mass production. No shortcuts. Just handcrafted furniture with soul.

  • Give your existing piece a total refresh—from sanding and staining to custom paint, hardware, and sealing.

My entire process is rooted in sustainability. I use eco-friendly, water-based paints and polyacrylic sealers that are low in VOCs and safer for your home and the environment. Every project helps reduce waste and keep quality materials out of landfills—because beautiful furniture shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense.

The result? One-of-a-kind pieces that feel like you—designed to stand out and built to last.

  • Every Second Nature piece starts with a deep clean, structural check, and surface prep to ensure it's solid and ready for a full transformation.

I sand solid wood down to bare grain or gently scuff veneer to prep for a fresh finish, followed by a second clean to ensure a smooth result.

For custom projects, I also source the perfect paint, stain, and hardware to match your vision. Thoughtful prep is the quiet magic behind every standout piece.

  • This is where your piece truly comes to life—through thoughtful color, texture, and hardware that reflect your style.

I offer a curated selection of signature finishes and hardware for a quick, cohesive look, or we can customize everything to make it uniquely yours.

During your free consult, we’ll talk vision. If you're going the custom route, we’ll follow up with a focused design session to finalize finishes and hardware—so once we start, we stay on track.

  • Item descriptI offer curbside pickup and delivery for all finished pieces—designed to keep things smooth, safe, and stress-free for both of us.

For pickups, I’ll be ready to assist when you arrive. I’ll help load the piece into your vehicle and can use my heavy-duty dolly to roll it out curbside for easy transfer. Just pull up, and I’ll take care of the rest.

For deliveries, I offer curbside drop-off only—this keeps things manageable with NYC-style parking and supports health and safety for both parties. I’ll wheel the piece to your building entrance or front door, and you can take it from there. If you need help maneuvering it to that spot, I’ve got you—my dolly is strong, smooth, and ready to roll.

There is a curbside delivery fee to cover my time, gas, tolls, and effort, which I’ll share up front when we schedule your delivery.

Need recommendations for movers or want to coordinate with someone to help get the piece inside? Just let me know—I’m happy to offer advice or referrals to help make things easy.ion

Because each finish and material is sourced just for you, it’s important that we land on a clear direction together—and stick with it. I ask that clients stay responsive during this step so we can move forward smoothly and efficiently. Once materials are purchased, changes can be difficult to accommodate.

My goal is to make the process collaborative, inspiring, and clear—so you feel confident in your choices and thrilled with the final result.
